Tomas Lacke
Self-taught contemporary artist in both painting and sculpture. He has been active since the 90s and has in his studio in Åkersberga, where he currently lives.
His largest sculptures can be seen in various places around the country such as Vaxholm by the water opposite Roddarhuset.
His art is characterized by large abstract paintings in earth tones. Black and white tones or figurative motifs, often combined with his carved steel sculptures. With different styles and material choices, he has built a wide collection in both painting and sculpture where he focuses on modern society.
His style is influenced by classical oil painting, in street art with elements of religious imagery. In his art there is a fascination with creating something beautiful out of the darkness that surrounds us. Lacke gives light to life, to the human being and his behavior.
